Dr Oliver Greeves

Oliver Greeves is an experienced executive with extensive exposure to the major business segments and geographies served by a global insurer and a global bank. During his career he has served in New York, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, Australia and the UK. He had a thirteen year assignment in New York reshaping the development strategy of MetLife throughout the world. He also served as Chief International Investment Officer and as President of MetLife Asia Pacific Division. MetLife has grown from a zero base of international earnings to earning over 40% of its revenues outside of the US. Before this, Oliver worked with Chase Manhattan Bank in the fields of International Banking, where he served as a Country Manager; Corporate Banking, where he served as a Division Executive for a Global Industry Division based in New York and Investment Banking, where he served as CEO of Investment Banking for the Asia Pacific Region. Oliver has extensive management experience in directing marketing and sales teams, project teams and retail operations. Human capital and organisation development have been the key ingredients in the business growth for which he has been responsible. 

 

Oliver has had experience restructuring troubled businesses as well as improving flourishing organisations. His approach has always been to clarify goals, responsibilities and relationships. Systematic planning, the involvement of people and careful monitoring of the workplace as well as analysing and evaluating performance have been the tools and approaches he has used.

 

The development of teams and individuals who excel are at the forefront of Oliver’s methodology and as such are the foundation for a successful coaching practice that has added principles of psychology to his existing knowledge of business practice and procedure and mentoring of talented managers. Oliver has a Ph.D in Economics from Bristol University in the United Kingdom.
